About Me

Jihoo Kim
I study Business at George Mason University, with a focus on Accounting and Economics. My studies require me to understand the impact of financial data analysis and economic system operations on business decisions, which in turn affect social outcomes. My research work started with numerical data analysis before it evolved into the study of human actions resulting from the interaction of incentive structures, resource allocation, and institutional systems present in real-world settings.
I support students from underrepresented communities through my community work, which includes providing academic tutoring services. Evidence from my experience indicates that students who receive appropriate educational support through structured learning programs tend to perform better academically and in their professional development. Research findings also suggest that people in society shape business and economic system outcomes through social network connections and personal interactions, rather than relying solely on market operations.
Through group work, my research team conducted financial statement and economic data analysis, which helped me develop analytical problem-solving abilities and improved my ability to communicate complex data effectively. Through my academic studies and volunteer work, I view Business, Accounting, and Economics as disciplines that extend beyond their basic technical elements. These fields provide frameworks for understanding human behavior, business operations, and social systems, which I use to explore and analyze my environment.
